Official invitation here: Neptune Cruise 2018
For the first time ever the Nordics Club Geneva is organizing a 3-hour boat cruise on the Neptune, the oldest cargo sailing boat on Lake Geneva – drinks and entertainment inclusive!
This unique event takes place on Sunday 26 August 2018 from 16:00 to 19:00. Boarding is from 15:30 at Quai Marchand, Geneva (next to Bateau ‘Genève’, between Jardin Anglais and Jet d’Eau), and we will also return back there.
Programme:
from 15:30 Boarding & welcome apéro
16:00 Cast off!
16:00-19:00 Relaxed cruise with open bar, live choir, DJ
19:00 Back at Quai Marchand & disembarkment
An open bar will be available throughout the event, offering non-alcoholic beverages as well as wine, beer, Aperol Spritz and other liquors. Food will be limited to basic snacks.
The Norwegian Choir of Geneva will entertain us with two 15-minute singing sessions during the cruise, performing a spirited repertoire of Nordic and English seafaring songs.
A live DJ will play relaxed chill-out tunes during the first part, and shake-your-legs dance music during the second part of the cruise.
Costs:
- We are offering this unique event at a fantastic NC member price of only CHF 29 per person (CHF 14 for children under 16 years; free for children under 8 years).
- Non-members pay CHF 49 per person (CHF 24 for children under 16 years; free for children under 8 years).
Registration & Payment:
Please register online here, or send an email to nordicsclub@gmail.com (Subject: Neptune 2018), indicating how many members (adults, children) and non-members (adults, children) you are.
A printable version of the registration form can be found on the official Neptune Cruise 2018 invitation.
Space on the Neptune is limited. Registrations will be taken on first-come-first-serve basis until Friday 24 August 2018. We will send you an email with the confirmation of registration and the payment details (bank transfer, PayPal).
In case of short-term available space, last-minute show-ups will be accepted directly on the Neptune. Exact cash payments only, including an upcharge of CHF 10 per person.
Important information:
The Neptune will leave at Quai Marchand at 16:00 sharp.
- There are a limited number of seats and two toilets available.
- High heels are not allowed on the boat.
- Given the large number of passengers, we will not set sails but cruise by engine.
- Children are most welcome on board. Participation is free until the age of 8 years. Please note that there are only 12 children life vests available on the Neptune, so space for children under 14 years is therefore limited. In any case, the participation of children is subject to the supervisory duty of their accompanying adults.
- The use of public transports to get there and back from is highly recommended. Please use the Mont-Blanc parking garage or the side streets in Eaux-Vives for your car.
- You might want to bring sun cream and a sweater or jacket as wind / light rain protection.
- Once confirmed, registrations are binding but can be canceled until 17 August 2018, and we will reimburse the paid fee. Afterwards cancellations are not possible, but you can send a replacement. Non-show-ups will not be reimbursed their money.
- In case of bad weather, the Neptune crew and Nordics Club Geneva reserve the right to cancel the event last-minute. In that case we will fully reimburse the paid fee.
- We will inform participants by email in case of doubtful weather, and on the NC website (www.nordics.ch → Events) and Facebook. You can also reach us via mobile phone on Sunday 26 August (number will be shared among participants)
- The Nordics Club Geneva might take videos and photos during this event. With your participation you give your consent that this footage can be published on the Nordics Club Geneva website and Facebook pages/groups, or used for other promotional activities of the Nordics Club Geneva.
